Join forces with God

ANCHOR TEXT: “Now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties” 1 Kings 3:7. Unless you are willing to give up your struggles and turn them over to God, you will always make poor results of them. Unless you are ready to cooperate and join forces with God you will always feel the void of inadequacy. You are just not strong, or wise enough to confront life challenges all alone. One with God is truly the majority. Detach yourself from God and you will be helplessly and hopelessly lost in the jungle of life. Why must you join forces with God? First, you don’t know enough. Second, you are facing gigantic forces over which you have no control and against which you have no weapon. QUOTE OF THE DAY:“YOU AND GOD ARE UNBEATABLE TEAM

Pursue Clarity!

“If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves” Prov. 29:18 Clarity is one thing but certainty is another. In fact, uncertainty is a permanent part of life. Many of us hate uncertainty but some of us have learned to grow very comfortable in an uncertain situation. Uncertain situations do not bother me rather I strive for clarity. Uncertainty never goes away. While we can afford to be uncertain, we cannot afford to be unclear. You need clarity of thought. The only thing you can be one hundred percent certain about is the past. I know theology crusaders say faith, we can be certain of God's Word. “God said it, I believe it, that settles it”. Didn’t the Bible say that faith is the substance [the certainty] of things hoped for? I am aware about all that but I have also discovered that God's Word only brings clarity to “what”, in most cases “how” always remains uncertain. Faith is the substance of the things hoped for. There is clarity about “wha...

The sovereign God

Memorise:  I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Isaiah 43:21 Read: Daniel 5:20-21, 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: 21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. MESSAGE After king Nebuchadnezzar was deposed from his kingly throne, his glory was taken away from him and he was disgraced to the point of eating grass like oxen, he came back to his senses to realise that the Most High God is the ultimate ruler in the kingdom of men. The problem with the king was that he got carried away with his achievements, thinking that they were the bye-products of his wisdom and phys...

End that rat race now

ANCHOR TEXT: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12:2. The essence of mankind is not competition; it is creativeness. Throughout the universe, there is not another you, nor has there ever been another you. If this is the case, is it not ridiculous to attempt to mould yourself into a likeness of your fellow; or to attempt to undo the work that God has done? The universe has wired no other person like you, so, only you can be you. Running the rat race simply means competing with others or trying to be like others on the basis of what they have that you do not have. It means forcing yourself to do what you are not wired to do. Competition attempts to be like but creativeness attempts to be unlike. Competition casts all humanity into the same mold, but creativeness makes of each man an individual counterpart...

Use Your Brain!

“Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint” Prov. 29:18 Clarity is key! Seek clarity with all your might. Clarity comes from God speaking and from clear thinking. Many times we are asking God to speak and God will speak. But sometimes God wants you to think. You must know the difference. Some time ago, it was a period of fuel scarcity. I hate fuel scarcity and I am sure you do too. So there was this petrol station that was selling fuel and I got on the queue. The queue was moving slowly but I could see the gate of the station from where I was. But there was another petrol station on the other side of the express road and they too were selling. So while still on that queue I was saying to the Lord, should I stay on this line or should I go to the other petrol station? Lord tell me, speak to your boy and God did not say anything. And I said, “Lord your boy is waiting, speak Lord and God did not say anything. So I pressed in and pressed in and what God sai...

Wipe out the negative impression

ANCHOR TEXT: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice” Ephesians 4:31. A negative impression is formed and transmitted to our subconscious whenever we are disappointed, offended or hurt. This affects our attitude, response to issues for as long as we harbor it. When a person is sick for a considerable period of time, find out, inside him, the impression of sickness hold could be stronger than that of good health. An impression will sooner or later translate to an action. For instance, Cain had the impression that God was partial. So, he vented this impression through the murder of his brother, Abel. You cannot be successful at anything if your subconscious keeps giving you the impression that everyone is better than you. You cannot rise higher than the impression you have. These are counter-productive impression. Every condition, circumstance and manifestation of your life can be changed to suit your conscious desire. ...

Clear And Simple

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” Prov. 29:18 [KJV] The principle of The Objective states thus: “Direct all efforts towards a clearly defined, decisive & attainable objective.” Three key things jump out immediately from this definition. Direct all efforts towards a Clearly Defined, Decisive and Attainable objective. #3. Clearly Defined: Make the objective clear and simple. In Joshua 6:3-5, God was clear, “March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the Ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, every one straight in” [NIV]. Clearly defined! Strive for clarity. When I heard the instructions the US General Eisenhower gave during the World War II, I was amazed at ...
