Not Mary, not Peter, not even John the beloved, nobody gave Jesus a chance. They did not believe that He would be raised from the dead. However, the beauty of this is, God does not need Peter’s permission to raise Jesus from the dead. God does not need Mary’s faith to raise Jesus form the dead. God does not need the willingness of the Pharisees to raise Jesus from the dead. What this means to you and I is that your resurrection does not depend on whether people like you or not. What God has said, He will do! What guarantees that the pain of Friday, that goes to the gloom of Saturday, will change to the celebration of Sunday?
