Fruits are external while roots are internal. Fruits are conspicuous while roots are obscure. Yet the roots determine the fruits. How deep you are will determine how high you will grow. Depth determines stability. Depth determines height. The day a thing happens is not the day it began. The fruits you pluck and enjoy from an orange or mango tree came as a result of the nourishment from the root beneath the soil. Thoughts first take root in your mind before they become manifest in your actions. Jesus said; ‘it is not what a man eats that corrupts him, but that which comes from within…’. This means that the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. Watch your thoughts, for they become your words.
