4 Reasons Why People Do Not Set Goals

Goal setting is simple, yet it involves hard work. It is simple to take a pen and paper to jot down what you want to do but it takes hard work to really commit yourself to accomplishing those set goals. From my interactions and observations, I have discovered some reasons why some people do not set goals. I want to share four of them with you. Fear: Fear is a paralyzer. It paralyzes you from doing what you need to do. Fear is the absence of faith. Someone describes fear as…… False, Evidence, Appearing and Real There are some times when you need to act even when you are afraid. That is what it means to have courage. You may have set goals but each time you look at them, they are way beyond your capacity, that is why you need to rely on God and not man to help you. Poor self-image: The picture some hold inside about themselves is not good enough and that limits the goals they set for themselves. Can you imagine someone that has a salary of N3,200 who wants to set a new goal...

God's Discipline - Kenneth Copeland Ministries

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? – Hebrews 12:6-7 There's a terrible misunderstanding among believers today about God's method of disciplining His children. They'll point to some kind of disaster—a tornado or a car accident—and say, "I guess God sent that catastrophe to teach us something." No, He didn't! A loving God doesn't send death and destruction on His children to instruct them. He doesn't unleash His bad dog to bite us on the leg, so we'll learn to wear our boots! How does He chastise His own? With His Word. Second Timothy 3:16-17 says, "Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness, (in holy livin...

Gulty Of Injustice - Pastor E.A Adeboye

Open Heavens |Daily Devotional {3rd July, 2016} Memorise: Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. -  James 5:6 Read: Amos 8:4-10, (KJV ) Messagae Injustice has been in existence with mankind since the fall. The unfortunate thing is that God hates injustice because He is the God of justice and equity. In our Bible reading for today and in several others verses of the Bible, we see that God vehemently abhors injustice. This injustice is all-inclusive, because it is found among traders through false measure, the employers of labours who do not pay the correct wages or delay it unnecessarily and the employees who cheat on their employers by not putting up their best for the wages they earn. -  James 5:4 says: “Behold the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.” It is injustice when an employer k...

Surprise! - Pastor Femi Monehin

God's Favourite House Daily Devotional { 3rd July, 2016} Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”  - Ephesians 3:20 God can do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. The Biblical definition of surprise is to cause to feel wonder, astonishment, and amazement. In other words, that Scripture is saying God is able to surprise. God is able to surprise you, able to surprise me, and able to surprise our enemies. As the general of your life, it is your responsibility to understand the Principle of Surprise, unleash it, and deploy it to gain advantage. Every general knows that the Principle of Surprise works in your office, in your business, in your house, and in your relationships. It works everywhere. So how do I use the principle of surprise in my relationship? Imagine that your marriage has been kind of losing steam. That is the right place to deploy the Principle...
