Righteous Means Righteous By Jerry Savelle

Jerry Savelle Daily Devotional Tuesday 9th August 2016 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him  - 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV Jesus didn’t come to help you overcome your sinful nature. He came to completely remove it so that you no longer have to be a slave to sin. The Bible assures us of this truth: “Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin” (Romans 6:6 NKJV). Jesus took away every trace of your unrighteousness and gave you His righteousness. Righteousness simply means “right-standing with God.” He did away with your old sinful nature and gave you His very nature. You are not partly righteous and partly unrighteous, having to struggle with a split personality. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17

It’s God’s Will For You To Achieve Excellence By John Hagee

John Hagee Daily Devotional Tuesday 9th August 2016 That you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ - Philippians 1:10 There’s more to being a Christian than just going to heaven.  There is the dimension of adding to your faith excellence and being all you can be by the grace of God. There’s an appalling lack of excellence in America.  Our industrial leadership has been lost because we have abandoned our commitment to excellence.  Our schools are producing graduates who can’t read, can’t write and can’t spell, because excellence is no longer our goal.  If a foreign government had done to our educational system what America’s educators have done, we would consider it an act of war. There’s an appalling lack of excellence in moral standards.  We have gone from love to lust.  We have gone from covenant to convenience.  We have gone from fidelity to fornication.  It’s time for America to return to the excelle

Seeking After God - By Charles Stanley

In Touch Ministries Daily Devotional Tuesday 9th August 2016 Pursuing God through His Son Jesus is to be our highest aim. It requires an attitude of wholeheartedness, diligence, persistence, confidence, and humility. To seek Him, what actions can we take? Read: Luke 12:29-34 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.  30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.  31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.  32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.  34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. First, we need to study the Scriptures. A structured, ongoing examination of them will cause our fait

Fresh Grace Every Day - By Joseph Prince

Daily Grace Inspirations Tuesday 9th August 2016 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. -  Matthew 6:34 “I am concerned about the big business deal that I have to close tomorrow.” “I am worried about tomorrow’s job interview.” “My medical test results will be out tomorrow. I am afraid it won’t be good.” God does not want you to worry about tomorrow. He wants you to know that He gives you all the help you need for today, and when tomorrow comes, so will fresh help from Him. This is God’s principle even in the Old Testament. When the children of Israel were in the desert, God gave them fresh manna from heaven every morning. (Exodus 16:13–16, 31) They did not have to worry about tomorrow because when tomorrow came, there was fresh manna again. He was their provision every day. Today, God’s manna is the grace He gives you every day. If you are worried about a situation tomorrow, know that

If You Want to Change, Then Face the Truth By Rick Warren

Daily Hope Devotional Tuesday 9th August 2016 “Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him …”  - Ephesians 4:21a NLT, second edition The secret to personal change is not willpower. The secret is to know and face the truth. You must know and face the truth about yourself and your nature if you want to change. Nothing will change in your life until you know and face the truth about your weaknesses, your relationships, your successes and failures, and your past and future. Nothing changes until you know and face the truth. And that truth is found in Jesus Christ. Why is it necessary to learn the truth before anything can change in your life? Here’s why: Behind every self-defeating habit in your life is a lie that you believe. If you get in debt, it’s because you believed some lies like “I can spend and get away with it” or “I can always pay it back.” You might have overestimated how much you were going to make, or you believed the lie that

Blessed Assurance By Pastor E.A Adeboye

Open Heavens Daily Devotional Tuesday 9th August 2016 Memorise: Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. -  Isaiah 3:10 Read: Psalms 23:1-5 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Message God is calling us to a closer walk with Him. This is the only way to launch us into the realm of His divine blessings. The blessings and miracles of God are exclusively reserved for His children. It is only the elect of God that can be assured of His b
