Trust Him For A Miracle

Rhapsody Of Realities Daily  Devotional 3rd October, 2016 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? (Hebrews 2:4). The New Testament gives numerous accounts of the miracles Jesus did during His earthly ministry. John 2:23 tells us that many believed in Him when they saw the miracles He did. But there were also many in His day who didn’t believe in Him despite the miracles. It’s the same thing today; there’re some who say that miracles don’t exist; but theirs is a twisted opinion. Some of us have lived in, and experienced, the miraculous; we see, breathe, and experience miracles all the time. The very idea of the existence of a God is to believe in the supernatural. If you don’t believe in miracles, then you don’t believe in God! A miracle is God’s supernatural intervention in the affairs of men. God is a Spirit, and He lives in the realm of the spirit. When you pray to Him...

Trust In The Lord

Insights For Living By Poju Oyemade ‘For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault  with them, he saith,Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not,  saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people’ (Hebrews 8:7-10). If you have a problem with something and then you hire people to get the things done, yet it is not working, surely there is something that is not been done right. When things are not working out and you co...

The Blessing Of Solitude III

Open Heavens Daily Devotional 3rd October, 2016 Memorise: Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. (Psalm 51:6). Read: Daniel 2:16-19 2:16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation. 2:17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: 2:18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 2:19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. It takes withdrawing from the crowd to be able to hear the message that will not only save you from evil, but will take you to the next level of stardom. An adage says: "He that is afraid of being alone will die in the crowd unnoticed." The Psalmist say...

Avoid Big Failures

From Faith To Faith Daily Devotional 3rd October, 2016 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness. (Ephesians 4:17-19) There's a subtle strategy Satan uses to take control of our lives. The Bible calls it lasciviousness and it means "to have no restraint." Lasciviousness has been preached as being extreme immorality, but it doesn't start out that way. It begins with just a few seemingly innocent thoughts. Then those thoughts grow and grow until they begin to produce serious sin. One afternoon as a 9-year-old boy, for example, I just yielded to the desire to curse. I knew better, but I did it anyway. I had a relative who was so good at West Texas cussin...

A Test

God's Favourite House Daily Devotional 3rd October, 2016 “And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?” (Luke 16:11) Did you know that God, the God of heaven, uses money to test your spiritual maturity? God says money is a test of true riches. So how much do you think has passed through your hands till date? If you sum up all the money that has passed through your hands till now, how much will it be? It is a test. Heaven was testing you to see what you will do with it.  After every test comes a promotion, or a demotion, or a carry over, or sometimes a “stay where you are”. I pray that everyone that has experienced a “stay where you are” or a demotion; beginning from today you will begin to experience a promotion. The fact that you have made a lot of money is not a guarantee for financial freedom. Think about how much has passed through your hands; it is not a guarantee for financial freedom. If making a lot of money...

No Outsiders

Our Daily Bread Devotional 3rd October, 2016 Read: Deuteronomy 10:12-22 Bible in a Year: Isaiah 17-19; Ephesians 5:17-33 What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him. ( Deuteronomy 10:12 ) In the remote region of Ghana where I lived as a boy, “Chop time, no friend” was a common proverb. Locals considered it impolite to visit at “chop time” (mealtime) because food was often scarce. The maxim applied to neighbors and outsiders alike. But in the Philippines, where I also lived for a time, even if you visit unannounced at mealtime, your hosts will insist on sharing with you regardless of whether they have enough for themselves. Cultures differ for their own good reasons. As the Israelites left Egypt, God provided specific instructions to govern their culture. But rules—even God’s rules—can never change hearts. So Moses said, “Change your hearts and stop being stubborn” (Deut. 10:16 nlt). Interestingly, right a...
