:“ONLY A WHEELBARROW GOES NO FURTHER THAN IT IS PUSHED”

THEME: DRIVE YOURSELF IF NO ONE DOES ANCHOR TEXT: “David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God” 1 Samuel 30:6. There are people who cannot do anything by their initiative, except someone comes around to pamper, threaten, pressurize or encourage them. People like these are simply not self-driven. If this describes you, you are like a wheelbarrow that goes no further than it is pushed. If you do not take initiative, drive yourself and take up the needed responsibility, you may end up waiting forever. You will always feel better about yourself whenever you drive yourself to do your best. Achievers that I know continually put pressure on themselves to perform at high levels. But those who are like wheelbarrow will have to be instructed, supervised, and threatened before they do what is needed to be done.
