Our Gospel Mandate With Pastor William Kumuyi,

DCLM Daily Manna Friday 19th August 2016 Key Verse: "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"  - Luke 5:32 Read: Luke 5:27-39 During our Lord's physical stay here on earth, He led the way and pointed out the urgency of preaching to the sinner. The huge success of the Lord's work thereafter is seen in the response of sinners like Levin(Matthew) who left worldly wealth behind for spiritual fortune. This is an indication that if today's soulwinner follows in the footsteps of the Lord, he shall likewise record resounding achievements in the field. We are expected to give our all so that when Christ returns, He will find a teeming righteous church to take home. He is expecting to meet a global congregation which would not have adulterated His biblical teaching of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord with modern doctrines of eternal security and ecumenism. He is hoping to meet His church imbibing the wine of old-time religio...

Much Better Than Before With Joseph Prince

Daily Grace Inspirations Friday 19th August 2016 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs. - Isaiah 61:7 God says in His Word that you will receive double for your trouble. If the devil has given you one trouble, then for that one trouble you can expect to receive a double-portion blessing! And if that trouble has caused you to experience shame, God’s promise to you is this: “Instead of your shame you shall have double honor”. God wants to give you a double-portion blessing for every trouble you go through! And don’t think that God is behind your troubles. The devil is the real culprit. Sometimes, it could be the one you see in the mirror every morning! But the moment you respond to God in faith, He gets involved in your restoration. And He does not restore to you the same amount that you have lost. You always get more than...

How to Help Someone Find Hope and Healing, Part 1

Daily Hope Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 “Therefore [Jesus] is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them”  - Hebrews 7:25 NIV I believe that small groups are a vital part of helping so-called hopeless people find healing. One of the parts I like best about being in a small group is that you can pray for one another’s “hopeless” cases. We can lean upon the faith of others when we start to doubt. In Luke 5, there’s a great story of a small group of men who took a friend who was paralyzed and in need of healing to the feet of Jesus. In this account, we find seven characteristics of a small group that God uses to heal. Today we’re going to look at three of those characteristics, and tomorrow we’ll look at the rest. Compassion: This man was healed because his friends cared. It all starts with us caring about people who are hurting. Romans 15:2 says, “We should help others do what is right and build them up i...

Constant Gratitude With Joel Osteen

Today's Word with Joel & Victoria Friday 19th August 2016 “O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!” 1 Chronicles 16:34, AMPC No matter what may be happening in the world around you, you can always find something to thank God for. Gratitude is a powerful force that opens the door to God’s blessing. Having constant gratitude proves your faith in God because not only do you thank Him for what He has done in the past, you thank Him for what He will do in the future. It’s that kind of faith that pleases God. Constant gratitude also shows humility because when we are thankful, we magnify God instead of magnifying our problems. It gives us proper perspective and opens the door for God’s grace, favor and supernatural empowerment. So what are you grateful for today? Are you grateful for the sun that shines and brings a new day? Are you thankful for the gift of eternal life? As you choose an attitude of constant gratitude, yo...

See Yourself Risen With Jesus With Kenneth Copeland

From Faith To Faith Daily Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 Constantly keep in mind Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] risen from the dead… - 2 Timothy 2:8, The Amplified Bible This is the key to holding on to the blessings of God. When pressure comes, when troubles and trials are bearing down on you, remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead! Remember that when Jesus arose, you arose. When He came out of hell and defeated the enemy, you came out of hell and defeated the enemy. His victory is your victory because you’re in Him. In the hard places, remember that. When the devil tells you you’re not going to get your answer this time, remember that. When he tells you there’s no way out, you remember Christ, the Anointed One, the Victorious Conqueror, risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of the Father! If there’s an image Satan hates more than any other, it must be that image of Jesus, rising from the dead, stripping him forever of his authority, and openly displa...

Grace Will Give You What You Don’t Deserve With Jerry Savelle

Jerry Savelle Ministries Daily Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 For by grace you have been saved [blessed, healed, delivered, made whole] through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast  - Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV, brackets added The biblical definition of grace is “unmerited favor.” It is something you didn’t earn; it is the gift of God. So when you see the word grace in your Bible, you can accurately interchange it with the word favor. God’s grace, His unmerited favor, is simply God giving you something you don’t deserve. The Bible says, “Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness” (Romans 4:4-5 NKJV). Simply put: Grace makes a way for God to bless you in life—regardless of your merits. Grace will give you what you did not earn. Grace will qualify you for what you do not...

Our Daily Bread: Comparison Obsession

Our Daily Bread Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?  - Matthew 20:15 Thomas J. DeLong, a professor at Harvard Business School, has noted a disturbing trend among his students and colleagues—a “comparison obsession.” He writes: “More so than ever before, . . . business executives, Wall Street analysts, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals are obsessed with comparing their own achievements against those of others. . . . This is bad for individuals and bad for companies. When you define success based on external rather than internal criteria, you diminish your satisfaction and commitment.” Comparison obsession isn’t new. The Scriptures warn us of the dangers of comparing ourselves to others. When we do so, we become proud and look down on them (Luke 18:9-14). Or we become jealous and want to be like them or have what they have (James 4:1). We fail to focus on what God has...

Cumbered With Depression? With E.A Adeboye

Open Heavens Daily Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 Memorise: But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.  1 Kings 19:4 Read: 1 Kings 19:1-8 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. 19:2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. 19:3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 19:4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life...

Step Out With Femi Monehin

Fresh Fire Daily Devotional Friday 19th August 2016 “Elijah said to her… make a little bread for me first then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son… So she did as Elijah said, and… there was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised…”  - 1 Kings 17:13,15-16. It is one thing to believe in the supernatural, it is another thing to be open to the supernatural. It is one thing to have the supernatural at arm’s length, it is another thing to embrace the supernatural. Do you desire to be open to the supernatural but you are wondering how to go about it? To be open to the supernatural, you must know two things. #1. Miracles happen outside of your comfort zone. The first thing you have to understand is that the miraculous happens outside of your comfort zone. Miracles do not happen in your comfort zone. Imagine your comfort zone is zone A. that is where you do life and have achieved a comfortable rhythm and routine...
