Turning Point Today: TAKING STOCK OF THE PRESENT

 “Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds” Proverbs 27:23. When Robinson Crusoe Swam ashore from his shipwrecked boat, the first thing he did was check out what stocks and guns and ammunition he had. Once he knew that, he could assess the situation and move forward. Taking stock of the present means assessing the present situation; checking the viability of what is at hand; coming to terms with reality. The essence is to learn and adjust certain things, such that what was learnt could be used to take better steps. If you do not know where you are before you start, you cannot really work efficiently towards becoming better. It is a wise man who first lays out his tools before he begins the job.
