Encourage Yourself no matter what happen...

Do not allow discouragement and despair to rob you of the wonderful future God has prepared for you. It doesn’t matter how severe or distressing your situation might be right now, the pain you may be experiencing does not entitle you to just give up. You can’t give up. Instead, you must encourage yourself. You do this by turning to the Word of God. Open your Bible and read it. Get those faith-building audio messages off the shelf and listen to them again. Go back and re-read books that will strengthen you. Don’t wait for someone with a special anointing for encouragement to come along. Encourage yourself! Pick yourself up out of your distress, stand in front of your mirror, and say to yourself, “You can either stay distressed or you can be of good cheer. Which is it?” If your head drops, pull it back up and say, “No, that’s the wrong choice. You’re going to be of good cheer. You’re not going to let this situation destroy you.” Reach down into your spirit and begin to draw on the ...

 THEME: WHAT YOU SAY IS VITAL Matthew 12:22-37 The devil does not have authority over you since you have given your life to Christ and you now belong to God’s kingdom. It happens quite often that through the spoken word, people grant access to the devil to enter and do his works of stealing, killing and destroying. What you say is vital and you really need to be reminded of this truth at this time. In our reading passage today, our Lord Jesus said, “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned" (Matthew 12:36-37). How do you react when faced with imminent danger?
