“FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE AND BE GRATEFUL”

Turning Point For Today Monday 29th August 2016 ANCHOR TEXT: “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men” Many never stop for once to consider God’s blessings rather, they spend the day thinking about problems, challenge, lack and unsatisfied desire. They do not know it takes being alive to have problems. Only the living face challenges the dead do not. Have you ever sat down to consider God’s goodness? Have you ever considered God’s mighty hand on you? One of the great mysteries of life is man, he’s the most privileged and prosperous of God’s creatures. He has the ability to feel, touch, smell, taste, hear just like other animals but he is the only one privileged to reason. He can make choices: decides on what to do first before the other. Man is simply a special creature; the more reason he should be full of gratitude to the Almighty at all times. What is gratitude? The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation...

You Are A Son And An Heir Of God With Joseph Prince

Daily Grace Inspirations Daily Devotional Monday 29th August 2016 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Galatians 4:6–7 Perhaps these questions have been popping into your head lately: “If You are a Christian, why are you sick? If your heavenly Father is so wonderful, why do you have so many problems? Doesn’t your God help you, His child?” And if you have been tempted to ask, “God, I am Your child. Why is this happening to me?” know that Jesus knows exactly how you feel because 2,000 years ago, the devil played the same trick on Him—“If you are the Son of God…” (Matthew 4:3) You see, the devil’s intention was to make Jesus doubt His Sonship, and the devil wants to do the same thing to you today. He wants to destroy the Spirit of sonship in you and in the body of believers. He knows that once you really...

Get Up And Speak! With Femi Monehin

Fresh Fire Daily Devotional Monday 29th August 2016 “…Prophesy to these bones. Tell them to listen to what the Eternal Lord says to them…”  Eze.37:4  Every move of God is preceded by a sound. You can have the prophetic Word but nothing happens until you speak it. Everything will wait until you speak. You have to get up and speak. The story is told of a couple who had been married for years and had children. The man was doing well and so was the woman. But the man’s mother brought him a new wife from the village. She told his wife that she had done well but her son needs fresh blood. The man claimed to be faultless in the matter and he took his mother up on the offer. It is sad but some men are just very foolish. But the woman got up and began to speak to the walls of the house; “Walls eject them in the name of Jesus”. She spoke to the spoons, “Spoons eject them in the Name of Jesus”. She spoke to the chair, “Chair eject them…” She went about the house speaking t...

Our Daily Bread: The Ultimate Road Trip

Our daily Bread Daily devotional Monday 29th August 2016 In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 Read: Isaiah 40:1-11 Bible in a Year: Psalms 126-128; 1 Corinthians 10:19-33 Madagascar’s National Road 5 offers the beauty of a white sand coastline, palm forests, and the Indian Ocean. Its 125 miles of two-track road, bare rock, sand, and mud, however, have given it a reputation for being one of the worst roads in the world. Tourists looking for breathtaking views are advised to have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, an experienced driver, and an onboard mechanic. John the Baptist came to announce the good news of the coming Messiah to those traveling on rough roads and through barren landscape. Repeating the words of the prophet Isaiah written centuries earlier, he urged curious crowds to “prepare the way for the Lord” and to “make straight paths for him” (Luke 3:4-5; Isa. 40:3) John knew that if the peopl...

You Hold the Key With Kenneth Copeland

From Faith To Faith Daily Devotional Monday 29th August 2016 I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19 The Greek text of that scripture would literally read, “I give you the keys of the kingdom. Whatever you declare locked on earth is locked in heaven and whatever you declare unlocked on earth is unlocked in the heavenlies.” The heaven Jesus was talking about there isn’t the heaven where God resides. He was talking about the battle zone, about the heaven where Satan’s forces are operating. He was telling us that God has given us power to bind the wicked spirits in heavenly places and to loose the angelic powers of God to work in our behalf. Philippians 2:9-10 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of t...

Thanks Be to God With Joel Osteen

Today's Word with Joel & Victoria Monday 29th August 2016 Today’s Scripture “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ...” 2 Corinthians 2:14, {NKJV} God promises to always lead us into victory! That means, no matter what you are facing, no matter what’s going on in the world around you, no matter what anybody says, you should always be thanking God because victory is on the way! You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to celebrate what God is going to do in your life. Put some action behind your faith. In the middle of that adversity or tough time, start making a list of who you’re going to invite to your victory celebration. That means if you’re in the hospital, start planning what you’re going to do when you get out. If you lost some money when the stock market went down, start planning your coming-out-of-debt party. When things don’t look good in the natural, remember, we serve a supernatural God. With God leadi...
