Key Thoughts V - Pastor Femi Monehin

God's Favourite House Daily Devotional {2nd July, 2016} “If you want to be My disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters… your own life...  So you cannot become My disciple without giving up everything you own.  - Luke 14:26 & 33  Please read Luke 14:25-33. In this portion of Scripture, even though we can take the lesson and apply it to the economy, Jesus was addressing deeper things. He was talking about spiritual economy. He is talking about our lives. If you want to be His disciple, if you want Him to own you, if you want Him to economize you, if you want Him to be in charge of you, if you want to be His resource, you must hate everyone in comparison to Jesus. Wow! Jesus is just amazing. He says in case you do not know who everyone is, let me spell it out - your father, your mother, your wife, your children, your brothers and sisters, yes, even your own life! People think to bec...

Be Unreasonably Committed - kenneth copeland Ministries

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. – Proverbs 4:7-9 If you really want to get the wisdom of God, you'll have to do more than casually read the Scriptures a few minutes a day. You'll have to feed on them night and day. You'll have to get rid of the rubbish you've been feeding into your consciousness by reprogramming your mind with the Word of God. "Oh, Brother Copeland," you may say, "that's unreasonable!" Yes it is. But consider this: A music major in college practices for hours every day. Olympic skaters spend six to eight hours a day training for their routines. They do it because they're unreasonably committed to their goals. The same is true for you. If you're going to ...

Key Thoughts IV - Pastor Femi Monehin

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him”  - Hebrews 11:6 I know of someone that joined NASA because he wanted to go to space. But NASA was not really taking people to space. So he left NASA and created his own company. Today, he is giving people the space experience. Do not get satisfied too easily. I pray that God will give you a holy dissatisfaction because until you get dissatisfied, you cannot make progress. Until you are dissatisfied with where you are, you would not seek the next level. “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise... A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.” Prov.6:6, 10-11. Do not fold your hands. I am not saying you should not rest. Please rest but get back...

Subduing The Threatening Giant - Pastor E.A Adeboye

Open heavens daily Devotional { 2nd July, 2016}   Memorise : THE LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1 Read : 1 Samuel 17:45-50 Message There is a threatening giant mightier than Goliath that we must overcome if our lives will be meaningful and highly fulfilling. This giant is no other one than the devil. As a matter of fact, Goliath in our Bible reading for today was just an apprentice in the school of Satan. The Bible says that the devil is a roaring lion walking about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). This was exactly what Goliath did, he roared at the children of Israel and they trembled before him. "And he stood and cried unto the armies of Isreal, and said unto them, why are ye come out to set your battle in array? Am not I a Philistine, and ye servants of Saul? Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me,...
