God chooses whichever means He deems fit to talk to us or draw our attention to Himself. He may use animals, fools, children, wind etc. It takes grace and humility to listen or watch others talk, particularly those lesser than you in all respect. You can learn from anyone and anything, including fools. Moses complained to God that he was a stammerer (Exodus 4:10). But he did not know that as far as God is concerned, the ability to talk less and listen more was a wonderful asset. Looking at today’s anchor scripture, it was clear that when all avenues of convincing and discouraging Balaam from going ahead to oblige the request of Balak failed, God made use of a donkey! Imagine a donkey! What a strange thing! It was when the donkey was strangely and deliberately acting contrary to Balaa...
