Take Only Reasonable Risk

ANCHOR TEXT: “ For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure” Proverbs 11:14. While it is true that life is a risk, it is equally true that we must take only reasonable risks. Do not run blindly. Do not jump with your eyes closed; you must look before you leap. Do not undertake a journey without knowing the destination. If you do not know where you are going, you will never get there. A place you do not have in mind, even if you get there, will not be known. Settle the question of destination before you take the first step. In 1978, one of my friends decided to go to Europe through Sudan, Morocco and Libya route. We persuaded him not to take such terrible risk but he refused. He left his young wife with a child in Nigeria and travelled. Up till today, nobody heard of him. He certainly must have lost his life in those hostile terrains. Each time I remember him or see his wife, my heart bleeds. Several others have lost their lives that way. QUOTE OF

Advantage vs. Victory

“In the same way, I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.” The Lord says this: “I promise that if I cause you the pain of birth, I will not stop you from having your new nation.” Your God said this” Isa.66:9 [ERV] The Principle of Maneuver can give you an advantage; it puts your opponent at the disadvantage. While the principle of maneuver can give you an advantage, never forget that an advantage is not victory. You can maneuver and get an advantage but never forget that an advantage is not victory. Every chess player understands this. Taking your opponents queen will give you an advantage. But most people who take the opponents queen early, usually lose because of the false sense that you are in charge. Meanwhile, the other player knows he or she has to fight to win. God is going to give you an advantage and the forces are going to back you up but you have to ensure that you focus and get your victory. Jehoash the king of Israel had a spiritual maneuver.

It Shall be Well

Memorise For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5 Read: Revelation 21:1-7 Message It shall be well is a futuristic statement. It speaks about something that will happen later, a speculation about the future state of a man. God appointed ministers of the Gospel as stewards of His mysteries. These ministers are saddled with the responsibility of rightly dividing the Word of truth, and distributing to everyone the right dose at the right time. It is also their duty to try to separate the precious from the vile, And to be God’s mouthpiece in all situations. In addition, they are commissioned to operate as God’s ambassador in this world by delivering every message according to the mind of God, as documented in the Holy Bible. It is in this respect that prophet Isaiah spoke in Isaiah 3:10-11: “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings

A Stunning Miracle

Key Verse: “Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days” John 11:39. Text: John 11:33-40 Some years ago, the notion that it was physically impossible for a human being to run a mile in four minutes was widely held. Our bone structure was all wrong, the wind resistance was too great, and our lung power was inadequate. There appeared to be a hundred and one reasons why it could not be done! Then one day May 6th 1954, a twenty-five year old Englishman called Roger Bannister proved that the doctors, the trainers, and the athletes themselves were all wrong. And to the unbelief of everybody, Roger Bannister broke the four-minute mile. Of all the miracles Jesus did, the raising of Lazarus in our text ranks as the most astonishing to the people of his time. Traditional Jewish belief had it that the soul of a dead person somehow remains with the body for three days. After three d
