What is the Purpose of Trials in Our Life?

“Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for his people" Psalm 66:5 Job, probably the oldest book in the Bible, asks this question. Job’s friends accuse him of a hidden sin, since God seems to be punishing him with tragedies. Is this true? Are tragedies punishment from God? The Bible says, absolutely not! Tragedy Can Bring Us to Jesus We have false expectations if we believe that good deeds are always rewarded, and evil is always punished in this life. We live in a fallen world, corrupted by sin. Disease and disasters are a natural result (see Romans 8:20-22). Yet our problems and needs are the very things that can cause us to seek God and draw closer to Him. Jesus was asked this question by his followers: “Why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sin?” “It was not because of his sin or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him” (John 9:2-3). God Have Mercy: God's mercy qualifies

ANCHOR TEXT: “For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion” Romans 9:15. Mercy is a broad term that refers to benevolence, forgiveness and kindness in a variety of ethical, religious, social and legal context. Mercy is the only reason we are living, if not, the world would have been emptied long ago due to all forms of vices that man gets involved in. It is mercy that brings solution to all problems and issues of mankind. Mercy qualifies you, even when you do not meet the requirement or anywhere near the standard. It exonerates you even when you are guilty as charged. It gives you a better advantage over your contemporaries; it gives you what you do not deserve. The prodigal son’s parable is a good example. Its analysis is likened to the relationship between God and the sinner man. QUOTE OF THE DAY:“MERCY IS THE REASON WE ARE STILL EXISTING”

Concentrated Mass

“And David said… “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem… So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well… and took it and brought it to David…” 2 Sam.23:15-16. Every facet of life is a battle and you are the general of your life. God wants you to take responsibility for your life. Remember David and Goliath? David took responsibility for the nation [God’s people]. God is waiting on you to take responsibility for your career and for your marriage. If you do not love your spouse who would love him or her for you? Take responsibility; you are the general. The Principle of Mass is Concentrate combat power at the decisive place and time. In your business or in your home, there is a decisive place and time. Sometimes it moves but once you can discern the place then concentrate combat power. Do not diffuse your energy, instead focus and concentrate. The principle of mass can easily be mistaken for the pri
