ANCHOR TEXT: “For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion” Romans 9:15.
Mercy is a broad term that refers to benevolence, forgiveness and kindness in a variety of ethical, religious, social and legal context. Mercy is the only reason we are living, if not, the world would have been emptied long ago due to all forms of vices that man gets involved in. It is mercy that brings solution to all problems and issues of mankind.
Mercy qualifies you, even when you do not meet the requirement or anywhere near the standard. It exonerates you even when you are guilty as charged. It gives you a better advantage over your contemporaries; it gives you what you do not deserve. The prodigal son’s parable is a good example. Its analysis is likened to the relationship between God and the sinner man.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:“MERCY IS THE REASON WE ARE STILL EXISTING”
