Kenneth Copeland Ministries: Watch and Pray

From Faith To Faith Daily Devotional Friday 5th August 2016 By Kenneth Copeland Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. – Matthew 26:41 Have you ever been frustrated with the weaknesses of your flesh? Have you ever resolved never more to yield to a particular sin, yet when the temptation came, you fell right back into it? It’s happened to all of us—even the disciple Peter. He swore he would never deny Jesus...but he did it anyway, time and time and time again. There is, however, something we can do to keep from falling prey to temptations like that. We can “watch and pray.” That’s what Jesus told Peter and the other disciples to do in the Garden of Gethsemane. He knew they were about to be tempted, and He knew that the weakness of their flesh would overcome them if they didn’t strengthen their spirits through prayer. That’s true for you and me too. That’s why in Jude 20-21, God tells us much the same thing th

Our Daily Bread: Who’s Watching You?

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous.  - Psalm 34:15 No matter where the athletes of the 2016 Olympics go in the city of Rio de Janeiro, they can see Jesus. Standing high above this Brazilian city and anchored to a 2,310-foot-high mountain called Corcovado is a 100-foot-tall sculpture called Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer). With arms spread wide, this massive figure is visible day and night from almost anywhere in the sprawling city. As comforting as this iconic concrete and soapstone sculpture may be to all who can look up and see it, there is much greater comfort from this reality: The real Jesus sees us. In Psalm 34, David explained it like this: “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry” (v. 15). He noted that when the righteous call out for His help, “The Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (vv. 17-18). Just who are

Receive His Mercy - Kenneth Copeland

From Faith To Faith Daily Devotional Thursday 4th August 2016 By Kenneth Copeland Ministries O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. – Psalm 136:1 God’s mercy endures forever! His willingness to act on man’s behalf is still operating in the earth. His mercy never runs out. Neither has it abated or weakened. “Praise the Lord! His mercy endureth forever!” Mighty and powerful things happened when Israel said these words. They are words of praise and adoration to God. When Solomon finished building the house of the Lord, the trumpeters and singers lifted their voices as one, and with trumpets, cymbals and instruments of music, they praised the Lord saying, “For he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Jehoshaphat appointed singers unto the Lord to go before the army and say, “Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.” It has been thousands of years since the Lord said His mercy extended to a thousand generations, and His m

Learn To Obey I - Pastor Femi Monehin

Fresh Fire Daily Devotional Friday 5th August 2016 By Femi Monehin “…teach older women to be holy in their behavior, not speaking against others or enslaved to too much wine, but teaching what is good. Then they can teach the young women to love their husbands to love their children”   - Titus 2:3-4 [NCV] The way community is structured is that you always have upward vertical, downward vertical and horizontal relationships. The challenge is that many people do not know how to respond in these levels of relationships. People want to pull out of community because maybe the people in their horizontal relationships are competing with them or vice versa and that is not healthy. Some people do not want to be responsible for other people in their downward vertical relationships. They do not care who goes to hell. They just want God to bless their own family. Some people do not know how to respond to upward vertical relationships. Such people cannot submit to anybody because they do
