No sacrifice, no destiny

ANCHOR TEXT: “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” Matthew 10:39. Show me a thing you are ready to lay down your life for, and I will show you a thing that is worth pursuing. Show me a thing you are ready to sacrifice anything for, and I will show you a thing that is worth having. To make sacrifice is to deny oneself of comfort or a thing of value in other to achieve something. Readiness to make sacrifice is a major proof of seriousness, love, and commitment. Sacrifice provokes supernatural intervention. It draws one into a covenant with God. To become what God wants you to be, you must be willing to make sacrifice of time, comfort, belongings, money etc. Real men not only have found a purpose and objective to live for, but also have found a vision to die for. “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1 & 8 In Luke 18, Jesus tells us the story of the persistent widow who went to the judge seeking justice but the judge did not pay her any attention. And this woman kept on attacking this judge until he cracked and gave her what she wanted. “I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:8. When people come across the word faith in this portion of scripture, they think it is a passive thing. But if you read the story that Jesus told about having faith, you will see that having faith is action. Having faith is knocking on doors until the doors either open or you break it down.
