“Courtesy Cost Nothing, But Buys Everything” Anchor test: “To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men” Titus 3:2. Courtesy means gentle and polite behaviour in dealing with people in our day-to-day life. It is an act of civility and good manners. It is one of the great virtues that must be possessed. If you are courtesied, you will respect others; you will hold fellow man in high esteem. You do not need to show respect by giving gifts or telling people right when they are not. What you say to someone or about someone is an indication of the value placed on him. In all man does, courtesy is required. There must be courtesy between young and old, among friends, between husband and wife etc. Hardly will you see infighting where courtesy is highly valued. Be good and display good behaviour. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” Rev. 3:21 [KJV] Take note, it is God that will give you victory! [Deu.20:4]. Another thing you should take note of is this; in the Book of Revelations Jesus kept saying, “to him that overcometh I will give…” [cf.: Rev. 2:7, 17& 26; 3:21]. It is a recurrent theme in the Book of Revelations. If Jesus says there is a reward for those that overcome, it means that there is something to overcome. If there is going to be victory, it means there is going to be battle. But the assurance we have in God is that we are going to come out victorious. So the focus is not the battle, the focus is the victory. I do not know what you have lost or where you have suffered loss. But again I tell you, what you are gaining is greater than what you have lost. This year, the reward of faithfulness will be so satisfying. It would be like the scripture that says, “When...
