Pray Perfect Prayers In The Spirit By Joseph Prince

Daily Grace Inspirations Sunday 7th August 2016 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. - Romans 8:27 Wouldn’t you like to pray effective prayers that are always in line with the will of God and which always hit the mark? Well, when you pray in the Spirit, you can. You see, when we pray in English or our known language, and according to our limited understanding, we can pray amiss. Sometimes, our heads get in the way and we find ourselves asking, “Isn’t it selfish of me to pray like this?” or “Am I praying in line with God’s will?” My friend, that is why God gives us the gift of praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues or in the Holy Spirit, we can never pray out of God’s will because the Holy Spirit “makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. In other words, we pray perfect prayers in line with God’s will when we pray in tongues. And the Bible g

When You Hit a Detour, Don’t Give Up! By Rick Warren

Daily Hope Devotional sunday 7th August 2016 “God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him”  - 2 Chronicles 16:9 When God gives you a mission, you can be sure you’ll run into delays, difficulties, detours, and dead ends along the way. They are a natural part of life. But you can be ready for them. For example, if anybody had a right to be discouraged, it was Noah. Do you know how long it took Noah to build the ark? 120 years. Could you go 120 years on a project without one word of encouragement from anyone? Noah trusted God. And when he heard God’s warning about the future, Noah believed him, even though there was no sign of a flood. I bet there were many days that Noah didn’t feel like going to work, but for 43,800 days, he went to the same place, and he worked. He never gave up. Don’t give up on your dream, either. Don’t give up on your marriage. Don’t give up on your health. Don’t, don’t, don’t give up. God is in con

His Counsel Stands -By Pastor William Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna Sunday 7th August 2016 Key Verse: "But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim; And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel"  - 2 Samuel 2:8,9 Text: 2 Samuel 2:8-11 God's plans and purpose will always stand, the machinations of men notwithstanding. Those who rebel against God's will have always been the ultimate losers. God is infinitely superior to many and therefore His counsel will always prevail. nEven after his master, Saul, died prematurely and shamefully without succeeding in his fight against God's divine plan for David, Abner yet continued where his fallen master stopped by going ahead to unilaterally appoint a new king over Israel. He ignored the fact that only God anoints the rightful kings over Israel and that it would be futile to circumvent the will of God for the

Transformed By Joel Osteen

Today's Word with Joel & Victoria Sunday 7th August 2016 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” - Romans 12:2 , NIV Most people have things in their lives that they want to change—old habits, addictions or something they want to overcome. The world offers so many “solutions” to improve your life; but really, the only way we are truly changed, the only way to be permanently transformed is by renewing your mind with the Word of God. The scripture tells us that we shouldn’t follow the pattern of the world. What is the pattern of the world? It’s the constant striving to do more, be more and have more that only leads to weariness, emptiness and frustration. That’s not what God intends! Instead, focus your thoughts on the Word of God because when you make the Word your number one focus, something supernatural takes place.

The Foolishness Of God By Pastor E.A Adeboye

Open Heavens Daily Devotional Sunday 7th August 2016 Memorise: Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.  - Read: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the po

Our Daily Bread: Who Are You Defending?

At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  - Romans 5:6 Read: Mark 10:13-16 When Kathleen’s teacher called her to the front of the grammar class to analyze a sentence, she panicked. As a recent transfer student, she hadn’t learned that aspect of grammar. The class laughed at her. Instantly the teacher sprang to her defense. “She can out-write any of you any day of the week!” he explained. Many years later, Kathleen gratefully recalled the moment: “I started that day to try to write as well as he said I could.” Eventually, Kathleen Parker would win a Pulitzer Prize for her writing. As did Kathleen’s teacher, Jesus identified with the defenseless and vulnerable. When His disciples kept children away from Him, He grew angry. “Let the little children come to me,” He said, “and do not hinder them” (Mark 10:14). He reached out to a despised ethnic group, making the Good Samaritan the hero of His parable (Luke 10:25-37) and offering genuine

Put Your Imagination To Work By Kenneth Copeland

From Faith  To Faith Daily Devotional Sunday 7th August 2016 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. – 2 Corinthians 9:8 If you have a desire to give, yet financial failures keep holding you back, you may be surprised to learn that what you need is not more money. What you need is a spiritual breakthrough. You need to take the Word of God and shatter the images of poverty and lack within you. You need to replace them with a vision of the sufficiency of God. Then more things, including money, will come. How? By spending time thinking on the prosperity promises He’s provided for you in His Word. By meditating on them. By believing you receive those promises actually being fulfilled in your life. Begin to see yourself, for example, being a generous giver to people in need. In your mind, see yourself as a giver instead of the one who is always in need. Each time you do, the promis

Fresh Fire Daily devotional Sunday 8th August 2016 “How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?”  - Deu.32:30 When God gives you an instruction to give something and you hold on to it, that thing is marked for consumption. For instance, God says give your pen to that lady. If you obey and give her the pen, it gets credited to your account in heaven where thieves cannot reach it.  However, if you hold on to the pen you are holding on to something that does not belong to you. You are holding on to something heaven has labeled “for takes”. I know this may sound rather harsh but it is the truth of God’s Word. So you are better off giving what God has asked you to give. And guess what, you get account credit in heaven and God also blesses you for it. Giving is just the way to go. Make a list of all the important people in your life and determine by yourself what it wil
