“Correction Is An Indication Of Genuine Love” Anchor Text: “Because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son” Hebrews 12:6. Human beings are bound to make mistakes. No one is void of one mistake or the other as long as he/she still has breath. No man is ‘Mr. Know all’, no man is perfect. This is why one must heed corrections where necessary. Whoever rejects or refuses to be corrected is treading towards destruction. The Bible says; ‘before destruction the heart of man is haughty’ Proverbs 8:12a. The question is; what is correction? A change that makes something right, accurate or better. Correction is put in place to right whatever is wrong. But correction is never effective if it is void of love. God’s words say a father corrects the son he loves (Hebrews 12:6).
