Do not personalise losses

ANCHOR TEXT: “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it” 1 Timothy 6:7. The effect of loss when it is personalized goes beyond the momentary pain it gives. Losses cause us to be mentally defeated. One could be emotionally stuck. It never leaves you the same. It makes one regret his/her actions, and it makes you hesitate in making subsequent decisions. But come to think of it, life itself is a succession of losses, beginning with loss of warmth and comfort of the womb that nurtured us for the first nine months of our existence. As we grow, we gradually lose the luxury of total dependence on our mothers. We lose our favourite toys. We lose days dedicated to play and exploration. We lose the privilege of pursuing the irresponsible pleasures of youth. We separate from the protection of our families as we leave the nest and take on adult responsibilities. Fearless

Courage is a habit and you can develop it. The only person who has never fallen is the person who has never walked. Do not be afraid of falling. The question usually on a lot of people’s minds is what if I try and it does not work? Big deal! Get up again.
