True Riches {Luke 18:18-23}

We have many rich people around us, who we respect, honour, and even idolise but they are not truly rich.  True riches is not measured by the abundance of things(landed property, high valued assets etc) a person owns. It is not how many influential positions a person has occupied but its simply in the test of ownership. How many of what you have do you really own? To "own" here simply means "to keep" many we call rich don't have a guarantee of still having those things they have today, tomorrow. This is the simple reason why, they feel to secure tomorrow they have to continue endlessly in that position and never loss power. Jesus proofed his total ownership of his life when he said, "I will lay down my life and in three days I will pick it up" Mr Rich man, can you give out all what you've got and you're, and still pick them up? Whatsoever you can let go with assurance that you can get it back, is actually the measure of your worth in...

Anticipate Irrationality

ANCHOR TEXT: “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)” John 18:10. We are all creatures of emotions. There are certain decision we take; certain words we speak, and certain attitude we display that lack rationality. But unfortunately, we often expect everyone to be rational all the time. Jesus told His disciples that He would die shortly. But Peter, out of emotions said ‘No’. Was this rational? Peter responded differently because his perspective of the scenario was different from that of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 20:20-28, the mother of the sons of Zebedee nervously requested that Jesus should grant her two sons the privilege of sitting beside Him in His kingdom. But the response of Jesus in the two instances showed that those requests were irrational. But because He ...

Theme: The Baptism of the Holy Spirit Memorise: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Read: John 7:37-39, 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Message The baptism of the Holy Spirit is very important to every heaven-bound Christian for many reasons. The first thing that comes to mind is the personality of the Baptiser, that is, the Holy Spirit Himself. He is the third person in the Trinity. From the beginning, God has been in charge of everything th...
