Root Determines Fruit - Pastor Femi Emmanuel

ANCHOR TEXT: “Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above” Isaiah 37:31.
Fruits grow upward while roots grow downward. Fruits are external while roots are internal. Fruits are conspicuous while roots are obscure. Yet the roots determine the fruits. How deep you are will determine how high you will grow. Depth determines stability. Depth determines height. The day a thing happens is not the day it began. The fruits you pluck and enjoy from an orange or mango tree came as a result of the nourishment from the root beneath the soil.

Thoughts first take root in your mind before they become manifest in your actions. Jesus said; ‘it is not what a man eats that corrupts him, but that which comes from within…’. This means that the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. Watch your thoughts, for they become your words. Be careful with your words for they become your actions and watch your actions for they become your character. Your character on the other hands becomes your destiny.

It is difficult to gather up resources for any productive use, or to assume control of one’s finances if leakages are not identified and blocked. Leakages are channels through which resources or money is been drained, either knowingly or unknowingly. They are instruments employed by the devil to wreck one’s destiny and finances.
