End that rat race now

ANCHOR TEXT: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12:2.

The essence of mankind is not competition; it is creativeness. Throughout the universe, there is not another you, nor has there ever been another you. If this is the case, is it not ridiculous to attempt to mould yourself into a likeness of your fellow; or to attempt to undo the work that God has done? The universe has wired no other person like you, so, only you can be you.

Running the rat race simply means competing with others or trying to be like others on the basis of what they have that you do not have. It means forcing yourself to do what you are not wired to do. Competition attempts to be like but creativeness attempts to be unlike. Competition casts all humanity into the same mold, but creativeness makes of each man an individual counterpart of God.

Can you ruin your destiny?

God had something in mind when He created you, right? But what if you’ve screwed up? Dropped out? Quit before it was over? Maybe you decided to do your own thing, it didn’t work out, and now you’re just sucking air and hoping there’s still hope. Guess what? There is! For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn. (Romans 11:29 NLT) You don’t even have to start over. Every single thing you failed at? God will use it. (Romans 8:28) Every shot you called that was way off? God will repurpose it. (Proverbs 19:21) Every weakness you thought you had to hide? God’s power will show through it. (2 Corinthians 12:9) God created you for good works. As soon as you quit the past and sell out for Jesus, those works will happen. (Ephesians 2:10) He’s establishing you, step by step. (Proverbs 16:9) God’s a good Father. He knows how to bring you back and take you further than you ever imagined. (Ephesians 3:20) Spend some time really reflecting on these truths. What do you secretly hope is p...

Marriage Booster: Do You Still Love Her/Him ?

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:25 KJV "This is what I love about you" In the beginning you love everything about him. You are captivated by his six pack, his spirit of adventure, and his lion’s heart. In the beginning you love everything about her. You go crazy with the swing of her hips, a wink or a chewy chocolate cake baked especially for you. One day you wake up. Daily routine has shattered your rose-tinted glasses. “His six pack is not so hot anymore, instead his joints creak with every move.” Or: “It would be better if she swung her hips into a gym one of these days.” You realize: “My partner has changed.” Fortunately! He isn’t standing still. The problem is not the change but rather, that you are a creature of habit. It is your task to rediscover your partner and to simultaneously not forget why you went up the aisle with sparkling eyes to marry your bride/groom. MARRIAGE BOOSTER Write d...

We Fail To Achieve Greatness Because We Fear Success By John Hagee

John Hagee Daily Devotional Thursday 11th August 2016  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  - One reason we do not reach excellence is because of our fear of failure.  Failure is a better teacher than success.  Every great success story has its element of failure.  You have not failed until you quit; only then have you failed.  After Thomas Edison finished his 700th experiment trying to develop the electric light his assistant said, “We have failed.”  Edison replied, “No.   We have found 700 ways that will not work.  Do not call these 700 experiments mistakes; call them our education.  Now let’s keep going until we find the answer.”  Are you afraid of failure?  Then you’ll never succeed.  You’ll never stub your toe standing still.  Remember the turtle, he never gets anywhere until he sticks his neck out.  You can’t succeed if you’re not willing to risk failure. Have you failed? Get up. ...
