Turningpoinnt Today: Nothing Comes From Intertia

“The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you” 1 Kings 19:7. There is no standing still here; there is no room for idling. There is no permanent resting place here either. Everything and everyone around you is busy with one thing or the other. Being busy implies they are making progress, growing, developing, getting better or working etc. Neither God nor life makes provision for idleness. ‘…My father worked hitherto, I work…’ John 5:17. Nothing good or productive really comes from inertia (I mean standing still). Every progress made; every development etc has been by diligent work. If those who have passed this world before us were idle, this world would not have been this developed. One of the rules that govern life is that you must keep moving, working learning and keep making efforts. QUOTE OF THE DAY: “TO KEEP LIVING, YOU MUST KEEP MOVING”

Block All The Leakages

“In order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes” 2 Corinthians 2:11. It is difficult to gather up resources for any productive use, or to assume control of one’s finances if leakages are not identified and blocked. Leakages are channels through which resources or money is been drained, either knowingly or unknowingly. They are instruments employed by the devil to wreck one’s destiny and finances. Thus, whatever drains your resources is never from God (John 10:10). Leakages have both spiritual and physical dimensions. One can experience leakage if one is under a curse-not giving God His dues in the form of tithe; if you have flair for life’s frivolities; if you commit sin; if you constantly experience physical or spiritual robberies; if you are involved in gambling; when there is an illegal access to your secrets or bank accounts; and when you are perpetually under demonic attack of sickness; when you invest heavily in a business you do not know an...

Open Heavens Monday 14th September 2015: The Right Root

Memorise: And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. Mark 4:17 Read: Mark 4:16-17 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. Message: In a marathon, not everyone who starts the race reaches the finish line. Several people drop out of the race due to one reason or the other. In the same way, several people are dropping out of the race to meet Christ the Redeemer on the last day. The parable of the sower reveals some of the reasons why people will not get to the finish line of the Christian race. One of such reasons is not being rooted and grounded in the word of God. Jesus gives further insig...

Turningpoint Today: Cultivate A skill

“So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians” 1 Kings 5:6. There is a saying that he who pays the piper dictates the tune. This is true. But the piper can decide how much he will charge for playing that tune if what he plays is: in demand; rare or particularly difficult to play. A skill is cultivated when you identify, develop and deploy the potentials you have. The moment a skill is cultivated, a niche is carved out. It takes being skillful to stand out. It takes being skillful to name your price. Once you can do something no one else can do or few people can do, you can stand with the high and the mighty to negotiate your price. Admittedly, being skillful is not that easy. It does not come on a platter of gold. It calls for diligence, focus, commitment, to a particular course of action. Ask those who are s...

Open Heavens Sunday 13th September 2015: He Grafts In

Memorise: Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Romans 11:19 Read: Romans 11:16-20 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: Message: Grafting is an agricultural technique used for propagating fruit trees. It involves cutting a section of the stem of one tree and inserting it into the stock of another tree. A part of the tree providing the stock must be cut off before grafting can take place. This technique is used in o...

Unlocking The Power of Scriptures Through Meditation

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth   forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-3 I was speaking to a friend about the power of meditation and how it produces manifestation. I mentioned a book I read by John G. Lake and what he wrote about meditation and a scientific experiment he performed to show them the effect of eternal life upon his being, far back as 1920.  He implored them to attach some things to his brain and they in return should look at the meter that read the vibrations in His brain and see what the effect will be. In his words “I understand the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus that is the law of the spirit that gives life in Christ Jesus”. He said ‘it is this law that the Spirit uses to quicken my mortal body. So he started to mutter the scriptur...
