ANCHOR TEXT: “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light” Genesis 1:2-3.

Word produces after its kind, whether it is spoken to someone or to self. When words are spoken, be it pleasant words or negative words; whether they are uttered in happiness or in anger, they become spiritual seeds that are bound to produce harvest someday. Since every seed reproduces after its kind, it therefore follows that the right word produces the right result and vice-versa.

Those idle comments and words spoken into your life, business and family and the nation, jokingly or seriously, are spiritual seeds that have profound creative effect. In the beginning, God intended to create an orderly universe and many glamorous things we see and enjoy today, but when He set out, contrary to His expectations, the reality on ground was darkness all over; waters everywhere and His spirit hovering on the deep. What a chaos! And in response to that, He spoke as desired: ‘let there be light’, (Genesis 1:3). And immediately, what He expected manifested, to the extent that when He compared what He saw with what He pronounced, it was the same. ‘And God saw the light, that it was good’ (verse 4).
