Not all those who fire a shot hit their targets at the first attempt. If a thing does not work out the first time, it does not mean it will not work out. Perhaps there are things you need to know that you have not known; or there are things you need to see that you have not seen.
A baby develops ability to walk by making persistent attempts, and by getting up every time he/she falls down.

Isaac made several unrepentant attempts at digging up the well that his father Abraham attempted to dig but was not successful before he died, because of the enemies kept sealing it up. The first attempt Isaac made was aborted by the herdsmen of Gerar. The second was aborted, until he made the third attempt that was successful, that was the reason he called it Rehoboth.
