My next door neighbour {1kings 21:1-10}

I  can't still imagine why my rich, influential and highly placed neighbour will still have eyes on my petty business that cannot foot any of his least bill

The pains of it all, was the night he ordered that my little shop be demolished since according to him, it defaces his house.

Is poverty a curse!  I have tried several attempts to see him even before now but he would tell his security that he doesn't want to see a mad man, that I should go and clean up.

Then reading the Bible I remember Naboth and King Ahab, I also remember King David and Uriah. Then my conclusion, forget authority and don't be close to leaders or "big men" who don't have conscience. Seek help from God alone
(Ps 121:1,2) They will only take advantage of your condition if not take the little we have.

My prayers is,  "oh God of creation, direct poor man's humble course, guard our leaders right, and make them know alleviating poverty is their mission and not inflicting us the more".send it round until it gets to our leaders. Shalom

Can you ruin your destiny?

God had something in mind when He created you, right? But what if you’ve screwed up? Dropped out? Quit before it was over? Maybe you decided to do your own thing, it didn’t work out, and now you’re just sucking air and hoping there’s still hope. Guess what? There is! For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.
