ANCHOR TEXT: “Yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!” Luke 18:5.

A little boy was learning how to skate (sliding by the aid of special shoes in snow). His frequent falls provoked the pity of a passerby who said: ‘John, you are getting all banged up. Why don’t you drop it?’ With tears rolling down his cheeks from his last fall, he looked up into the eyes of the adviser and said: ‘Mister, I did not get these skating shoes to give up with, I got them to learn how with’. The uninvited passerby quickly hurried away.

My beloved reader, giving up too soon because of adversities will add your name to the list of failures. Your destiny is too great to be lost to impatience. According to today’s scripture, did the wicked judge not bow to the stubborn determination of that widow? Was the widow not going through serious problems like yours? What makes you think your case is different?
