Fighting Your Enemies Is Never Your Responsibility

Theme: Focus Not On The Enemies

ANCHOR TEXT: “He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s” 2 Chronicles 20:15.

Can you really identify all your enemies and their next plan against you? Of course you can’t! Only God does! You attract enemies when you are succeeding. Why? They envy something in you which they cannot possess. The second reason you must not focus on your enemies is that, those so-called enemies are behind you. So focusing on your enemies means looking backwards. You cannot make any progress looking backwards. It signals dangers when your prayers are 99% against your enemies.

How do you even know your enemies in a world where even your spouse can become an agent of the devil? How do you know an enemy in a world where even your close friend can become your paid traitor? How do you identify your enemy in a world wherever your fellow church member can be used as an agent to contend against your destiny? Only God knows who your enemies are, because only Him can see through the mind.

The sower soweth the word. (Mark 4:14) Right now, at this very moment, you have hidden within you a treasure that can change the world. A treasure that can change a man's eternal destiny, that can take him to heaven and save him from hell.
