WORDS EITHER CALM OR RAISE TENSION

ANCHOR TEXT: “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible” Hebrews 11:3.

Words are mysterious contrivance of communication in everyday life. Man thinks with words, speak, listen, read and write with words. Words help to communicate ideas, help to understand other people’s ideas. If you want to understand the mind of men; listen to their words. It is words that link the mind to the outside world.

 Words are not empty vessels, they are powerful and are fulfilled when they are spoken. Whatever the intent of the words you speak; so shall they accomplish. If your words are positive, surely you will experience positive manifestations and if they are negative; it shall be as you speak.

In Genesis 1:3, God said let there be light and there was light. God’s positive words illuminated the darkness of the earth. The entire world was formed with words. The Holy Spirit too changes lives with words. People are encouraged or discouraged by words.

Marriages break up because people do not say the right words. Many broken homes would still have been intact if one of the partners could utter sweet and comforting words. It is just a few words but with great power.
