ANCHOR TEXT: “I can do everything through him who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13.

‘I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is the victory over self…’ (Aristotle). Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. There are people who cannot control their weight, appetite, temper, emotions, sleep etc and they blame it on the devil. The devil is not always the cause of all your problems. Was the devil the cause of your uncontrolled appetite for food or sex? Was the devil the cause of your obesity, disobedience and feelings? The devil is not!

For example, concerning food, you have the power to make up your mind and say things like, ‘I will begin a diet plan’ concerning your spouse, you have the power to say things like; ‘I will never beat or disgrace my wife’ or ‘I will never be disrespectful to my husband again’. These are acts from your God-given powerful human will. In line with today’s anchor text, believe that by the grace of God, you can do all things. You can stop adultery and fornication. You can control that obesity. You can stop being glutinous, you can control your anger, you can forgive, etc

A NEW MONTH OF DIVINE ANNOUNCEMENT

Judges 13.  When God wanted to turn the hearts of men back to Himself, He sent angel Gabriel to announced the birth of John the Baptist to his father, Zacharias. The sower soweth the word. (Mark 4:14) Right now, at this very moment, you have hidden within you a treasure that can change the world. A treasure that can change a man's eternal destiny, that can take him to heaven and save him from hell. A treasure that can turn a person's poverty into prosperity, his sickness into health, his sorrow into joy. You have within you the all-powerful Word of God. Don't keep it to yourself.
