THEME: FOCUS ON GOD
ANCHOR TEXT: “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame” Psalms 34:5.
Have you ever been in the company of someone who makes time with God a priority? There is a sort of radiance in his attitude and overall outlook. He is always enthusiastic, hopeful and joyful. His attitude of focusing intently on God instead of worldly affair magnifies God’s glory on him. Keeping focus on Christ means to fade out everything that pulls you away from connecting to Him.
It’s a disciplined lifestyle of choosing to see every blessing and struggle of now through the lens of Christ. It means resting your case on God’s injunction: ‘Cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:7). When you commit all to Him, He will perfect all that concerns you.
Peter and John in Acts 3, made God their focus and they became ‘semi gods’ to the people as a result of the erupt of miracles. The man at the beautiful gate was made perfect, crippled leg restored in the name of Jesus. If they were not living pleasing to God, they would not have been able to do such exploit. They left all the worldly cares to be with Jesus, and they were richly blessed.
