Topic: Choosing a mentor
Text: John 13:13-16
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

There are several ways of predicting the future, one of such is simply looking at someone's mentor.
A mentor is an adviser, guide, counsellor, coach to you. The following are the things you should know about mentoring ;

1) Not every successful person can be your mentor, for God has kept certain people to mentor certain persons

2) You can be mentored from afar via online studies, tapes, books etc

3) The extent to which you can be mentored depends on how close you are to your mentor.

4) you cannot benefit from your mentor if you are proud.

Have a teachable and open spirit. Most great men have mentors, don't stay without one. Prayerfully choose a mentor today. God bless you.
