“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7.
In the 2006 Olympics, sprinters from different countries were stationed on the field in their respective tracks to compete for the final of the 400 meters relay race. Sadly, a particular country failed to reach the end of the track. Why? A sprinter that was coming with the baton, for unknown reason failed to hand over the baton successfully to the waiting sprinter ahead of him. As both were trying to exchange baton, the baton fell in the process, and the race could not continue. Not only were they left behind by their counterparts, they lost out of the race. This same phenomenon happens in life. As generations go and generations come, we hand over baton to one another.
The point is; things get better and a purpose is served when we run well with the baton handed over to us by our predecessors. With this, I mean taking responsibility for whatever we have been given and make a better use of it before we shuffle off and pass it on.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “THINGS GET BETTER WHEN WE IMPROVE ON WHAT WE MET”
