“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law” Romans 13:8.
Debt is like a millstone round the neck – it makes one feel bad. It has a debilitating effect on one’s health. Debt is incurred when we spend beyond our income, when we make purchases on credit; when we borrow money, either from bank or from individual. Normally an indebted person is a sorrowful person. Such may end up a crawler.
There is no point at all, neither is there any sense in putting money into a savings account, earning say 5 per cent interest, if you are at the same time paying 10 per cent interest on money you owe to the bank or somebody else.
There is no point living flamboyantly when there are debts to pay. The pain involved in getting out of debt is short term pain that will generate a long term gain.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:“A LIFE OF INDEBTEDNESS IS A LIFE OF BONDAGE”
