Show a little courtesy

“Courtesy Cost Nothing, But Buys Everything” Anchor test: “To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men” Titus 3:2. Courtesy means gentle and polite behaviour in dealing with people in our day-to-day life. It is an act of civility and good manners. It is one of the great virtues that must be possessed. If you are courtesied, you will respect others; you will hold fellow man in high esteem. You do not need to show respect by giving gifts or telling people right when they are not. What you say to someone or about someone is an indication of the value placed on him. In all man does, courtesy is required. There must be courtesy between young and old, among friends, between husband and wife etc. Hardly will you see infighting where courtesy is highly valued. Be good and display good behaviour. Be nice, be considerate. Have compassion for fellow human. When all these are in place in your life, the grace of God will be evident in your l...

Take Note II

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” Rev. 3:21 [KJV] Take note, it is God that will give you victory! [Deu.20:4]. Another thing you should take note of is this; in the Book of Revelations Jesus kept saying, “to him that overcometh I will give…” [cf.: Rev. 2:7, 17& 26; 3:21]. It is a recurrent theme in the Book of Revelations. If Jesus says there is a reward for those that overcome, it means that there is something to overcome. If there is going to be victory, it means there is going to be battle. But the assurance we have in God is that we are going to come out victorious. So the focus is not the battle, the focus is the victory. I do not know what you have lost or where you have suffered loss. But again I tell you, what you are gaining is greater than what you have lost. This year, the reward of faithfulness will be so satisfying. It would be like the scripture that says, “When...

Take Note I

“They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them” Ps.44:3   I am really excited to be alive today and I hope you are too because it is only the living that can praise God [at least on earth]. Usually as seasons change and we approach a new season, even before I became a Pastor, as a Christian I would sit with God and try to discern His mind for the coming season. I believe every believer should do this actually, even on a daily basis. Which is why we have devotions, a time where you can sit quietly with God to get His mind for your life daily. Over the years, I have had to write down what I believe God was saying was the direction for different seasons and download materials, a lot of materials, to boost my understanding of His direction for me. And personally, I noticed that just a few months after, say three ...

THEME: "LORD JESUS": A MERE SLOGAN? Memorise: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mathew 7:21 Read: Luke 6:43-46 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Message There are those who know God and there are those who claim to know Him, but do not submit to His Lordship. They came to the presence of God, but their sins do not allow His glory to rub off on them. They are rel...

{YOU NEED HELP} IF YOU ARE NOT HELPED, YOU WILL BE STRANDED

ANCHOR TEXT: “They helped David against raiding bands, for all of them were brave warriors, and they were commanders in his army” 1 Chronicles 12:21. Man cannot live in isolation, he needs help. He needs one form of assistance or the other to fulfill his dreams and run his course in destiny. No man is an Island; there is a limit to where man’s effort can take him. What is help? To give or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or meet a need; contribute strength or means to; render assistance to, cooperate effectively with, to aid, to assist. It is something that makes it possible or easier for someone to do something, by doing part of the work or providing advice, money, support etc. If man lacks help, he will be stranded. Frustration will set into such a life and his arrival at destiny shall be prolonged if he ever gets there. Destiny helpers are agents of change and transformation, hence, the reason to treat people you come across with honour, for you can’t say which ...

Theme: Losing Focus Memories The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Luke 12:23 Read : Mathew 16:25-26 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Message What many believers have failed to realize is that only God knows all our needs and only God can meet all our needs. Sometimes we think we know what is good for us, but time and time again, I have discovered that you cannot have something better than what is God has in store for you. We have been given dominion over material needs; therefore the rush for them is uncalled for. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mathew 6:33 It is the instruction of our Lord and master to think beyond worldly treasures. They are never worth...

Theme: Your Key To Freedom Memorise: And ye shall know the, and the truth shall make you free John 8:32 Read: John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Message The Old Testament law was not sufficient to make people flawless before God. So since no man could be adequately justified by the provision of the law, Jesus had to intervene through His blood to set man free from the law of sin and death. This is why as true disciples; obedience to the truth of God is the only way to liberty. The truth of God’s Word sets one free without any form of condemnation. No legal system or religious doctr...
